About IVOVI
My best friend’s father, Mark Jacobs told me once that “If you do what you love, you won’t work a day of your life.” I was only around the age of 10 but I knew the one thing I loved the most was making things out of wood. The reason I started in woodworking was my Grandfather, Bert Dusenberry, had a full woodshop. There were scraps of wood that he would let us kids glue and nail together, I believe we were making rubber band guns. In the 6th or 7th grade I was able to start using more of the power tools in the shop, like the drill press, sanders, and band saw. My Grandfather passed away when I was 9 years old. I was starting 4-H the next year and knew woodworking was going to be one of the projects I took. Thanks to my grandfather I persuaded woodworking all through high school, and then worked in construction for 7 years going from one job to another. I finally received an opportunity to work on the farm with my Father and Mother, and built a new up to date shop. I am now a partner on the farm with my woodworking business on the side.
